The European VERDEinMED project, an initiative funded by the Interreg Euro-MED Programme, has launched its Knowledge Platform to promote the transition to a more circular textile industry. The VERDEinMED Knowledge Platform is a digital hub developed by the Centre for Research and Technology-Hellas (CERTH), the Greek coordinator of VERDEinMED, and enriched with contributions from all partners.
The platform serves as a comprehensive website, providing a wide range of resources for stakeholders across the textile value chain, including tools, reports, infographics, and expert-reviewed content to support sustainable and circular practices.
Focusing on the entire lifecycle of textiles, from manufacturing and market presence to usage and waste management, the platform offers businesses, consumers, and public authorities a collaborative space to access, share, and apply innovative solutions. Available in 8 languages, it provides resources on Regulations & Policy frameworks, Textile industry and waste data or Best practices, among others, while enabling stakeholders to connect through national hubs and contribute relevant materials. All content has been reviewed by experts to ensure quality and reliability.
The launch of the platform marks a key milestone in the VERDEinMED project’s mission to drive innovation, foster cooperation, and reduce the environmental footprint of the textile industry across Europe and the Mediterranean region.
