What we achieve

Our main objective in the VERDEinMED project is to boost the circular economy in the textile sector. Furthermore, as a thematic project of the Interreg Euro-MED programme, we want to contribute to the creation of a more sustainable and cooperation-focused Mediterranean region. To this end, we will take an active part in the various activities organised by the Interreg Euro-MED Governance projects. In collaboration with the Institutional Dialogue Projects (IDP) and the Thematic Community Projects (TCP), we will participate in the study and decision-making on crucial issues such as natural heritage, green spaces and sustainable tourism, among others.

INNOVATIVE TOOLS

VERDEinMED is committed to promoting sustainable practices in the Mediterranean textile and clothing industry through a wide range of tools and activities. The main one is the Knowledge Platform, a digital tool created to provide information about textile circularity. Also noteworthy are the VERDE Hubs, virtual networks of regional/national facilitators, the VERDE Academy, which offers collaborative learning opportunities, or the VERDE Bussola, understood as a centre of excellence for sustainable and circular textiles.

In terms of activities to mobilise different target audiences, including businesses, policy makers and society at large, our communication efforts are reinforced by a VERDEinMED Communication Campaign, which will raise awareness on different aspects related to the textile sector. Finally, Living Labs and Proof-of-Concepts will bring together stakeholders to test innovative practices related to the transition to a circular economy.

These tools and activities will be developed in the different countries to which the VERDEinMED project partners belong, and many of them will be available on the Internet.
