The VERDEinMED project will celebrate its final event on 13 March 2026 in Thessaloniki, Greece. This flagship gathering will bring together leading voices from across the textile sector through inspiring roundtable discussions and interactive sessions, creating a dynamic space to exchange ideas and experiences on the future of textiles in Europe. The conference will present the project’s key results, policy recommendations, and practical tools, while fostering meaningful dialogue among stakeholders committed to more sustainable and circular textile systems.
The event will open with the workshop “From Evidence to Action: Knowledge Transfer for Sustainable Textiles,” featuring Viktor Kouloumpis (European Commission Joint Research Centre), Tilla Kross (Textile ETP and ECOSYSTEX Community) and Iro Kofokotsiou (Fashion for Good). During this session, VERDEinMED partners will present the project’s main activities and achievements, followed by two roundtable discussions with external experts who have benefited from VERDEinMED’s initiatives, including textile companies and project mentors. These exchanges will offer hands-on insights and real-world perspectives from across the sector.
The programme will continue with the workshop “Public Procurement for Sustainable and Circular Textiles,” delivered by Edwin Maes (Centexbel), Consultant in Clothing Textiles. The event will conclude with a site visit to Colora SA, a company specializing in fabric processing solutions.
